Outside Fun!

It was a great weekend! We had a successful yard sale on Saturday, we purchased our first double stroller and we had a fun Sunday filled with a morning birthday party, some swim time, a BBQ and good company! We spent most of our weekend outside (Ryder's favorite thing to do) and we soaked up the sun and every ounce of preciousness from our Ryder J!
Cruising in his coupe!

Speech Therapy

Ryder Jeremiah has speech therapy twice a week and we are in talks to start occupational therapy once a week for some oral challenges he's still facing. Ryder J has made some progress in speech but it's baby steps. We've still got a long way to go and the future is still unknown as far as what type of surgeries or devices may help his speech develop. We have a big panel appointment with CHOC next Wednesday that will hopefully provide us with clearer answers and direction on what's next in our cleft journey. For now, we are thankful for the baby steps we make and we continue to dance in the rain!

Some photos of Ryder J at speech yesterday.
We love our superhero! Just keep swimming Ryder Jeremiah!

Play Dates

Ryder Jeremiah loves to be outside. I mean he's obsessed with being anywhere where the sun is shining so we spend most of our days in the backyard, at the playground or out playing with friends. Yesteday, we had some friends over and Ryder Jeremiah showed off all of his new yard toys. I just adore watching Ryder J socialize and seeing his little personality develop! It's SO fun being a mama and soon we will have double the play dates.....double the fun!

Our Favorites

A few of our favorite photos from Saturday's session. So many to choose from and we love them all! I've said this before and I'll continue saying it - her name speaks such truth! Joy fills every ounce of us and we are so blessed to soon welcome her into our arms!
Clearly my belly hasn't seen the sun in quite some time....

James 1:2-4 "Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing."

20 Months!

Happy 20 months to one of the best things that has ever happened to us! Where has the time gone?! Seems like a second ago we were nervously embarking on our cleft journey but today, here he stands, healthy, handsome and oh so perfect! We've got a long road ahead of us but he's our tiny superhero and God has mighty plans for his life! We can't wait to watch him evolve into his big brother roll! We love you Ryder Jeremiah!

Cool New Bedtime

I'm officially not a fan of daylight savings. Ryder's not taking well to this whole spring forward thing and decided that his new bedtime is.....ummm.....never. He was up from 4:30am - 6am and then decided to not go to sleep until 9:30pm tonight (his bedtime is normally 6:30pm). What I failed to mention is my bedtime is normally ummm....7:30pm (and that's on the weekends when I stay up late). When you're barefoot, prego and in the kitchen 7:30pm is about as wild as it gets. Baby Joy will be here in a few short weeks so I'm trying to do what I know I won't be doing when I have to little monkeys in our bed.....sleeping! Cool new bedtime Ryder Jeremiah! It's a good thing you're so darn cute because I can't help but smile throughout  these "late nights".
Oh a totally random note, how cute are these photos from earlier today? We had a play date with our friends Miss Holly, Brock and Brady. Brady and Ryder were so cute together! Pretty sure Ryder was mid-cough in the first photo.

Oh What Joy!

Today we took our maternity photos for baby Joy! Maternity photos are really important to me. It is such a special time and I'm so that happy we have these photos to look back on throughout both Ryder Jeremiah and baby Joy's growth inside my tummy! Pregnancy is truly a miracle!

A few photos from today's session. My sis did an amazing job at capturing these moments. Oh what Joy!
