Exactly one year ago today our superhero had his first mission - cleft lip surgery. Since then, he's overcome 4 surgeries, a gazillion doctor appointments and his share of challenges but he's proven to be such a superhero and we are so proud to call him ours! God has mighty plans for you little one! Jeremiah 1:5. Keep on swimming. You're doing great!
A slew of emotions hit me as I laid Ryder in his crib last night. I specifically remembered my worries and fears as I bounced him to sleep exactly one ear ago. It's heart wrenching to watch your baby go through difficult times and wake up in pain, dazed and confused. After 4 surgeries it hasn't become any easier trying to comfort him as he's coming out of anesthesia. Yet time and time again his strength and resilience continues to amaze me. He truly is my superhero!
