Ryder's still battling between a 101-103 fever. We get it down to 99-100 with Motrin/Tylenol that we stagger every 2-3 hours but it spikes as soon as we stop staggering. He's still refusing liquids and now even otter pops aren't as interesting but we can usually get a few bites of popsicles in him. We even tried slurpees today but those didn't work as well as we thought they would. Thankfully, we didn't end up taking him to CHOC yesterday (maybe against our poor judgement but he seemed a bit better). We even took him for a walk yesterday afternoon.

But this morning he woke up to another 102.5 fever. We were able to get 12oz of water plus several bites of baby food and yogurt in him today, so we think that is progress! We see our doctor tomorrow and are praying for a good report on his recovery. Ryder's sleeping is still minimal but getting a tad bit better (he sometimes makes it to 3 hours straight!) He's still sleeping on mommy or daddy but some sleep is better than no sleep, even if it's a bit uncomfortable.

Ryder played for a few minutes today. We were happy to see a bit of energy in him!

That only lasted a few minutes though...
We noticed a little bruise on Ryder's left cheek. We're not sure where it came from but we think it may be from when he had to wear those dumb no-no's. The no-no's obviously limited his movement so we think he couldn't catch his fall while standing in his crib. So heartbreaking! We will ask the doctor tomorrow. It could also be from where they did the cheek graft?

Target is where we attempted to slurpee-feed Ryder today (which kind of failed) but we did end up purchasing this life-sized Elmo!

We really can't afford to go anywhere with Ryder these days. He's VERY expensive but we'd hand over every penny we had just to see him be himself again.
