Praying for Progress

We were hoping to get discharged today but unfortunately, that won't be the case. Ryder isn't drinking much. He's refusing most, if not all, oral liquids and woke up a bit swollen. We are not quite sure what is causing the swelling but are watching it closely. The good news is that Ryder has been sleeping quite a bit since getting out of surgery. It's very "un-Ryder-like" and it kind of worries me because I'm not quite sure if he's lethargic or recovering. We are watching that closely as well.

He woke up enough to point out some of his nurses on the nurse bulletin board.  

He looks at the toy but no real interest in playing with it.

Praying Ryder Jeremiah shows some interest in liquids and his swelling goes down ASAP. During Ryder's ER sugery Dr. Prutsok had to "undo" some of the palate stitching that had already began to heal, so sadly that puts Ryder's recovery back at square one. Ugh! Frustrating is an understatement. Please pray for progress!
