ER Surgery - Power of Prayer!

We firmly believe in the power of prayer and are asking for a lot of prayers to be said over our superhero right now. Our precious Ryder Jeremiah was rushed to emergency surgery this afternoon due to blood clotting in his mouth.
After another rough night of sleep, Ryder finally fell asleep around 6am and woke up around 9:30am. He was surprisingly in better spirits, his rash looked better and he even drank 6oz of pedialite (a huge step for him!) After reading a few books Ryder started to become really fussy and then we noticed some blood on his burp cloth. We checked inside his mouth and noticed more blood - enough to make this mama panic (again) and call his plastic surgeon to get an appointment ASAP. Within 45 minutes we were in the plastic surgeon's office and Ryder had formed quite a large blood clot in his mouth (about the size of a quarter). We know this because the doctor pulled it out of his mouth, while at the office, and Ryder's mouth continued to bleed but this time even more. Out if fear of Ryder aspirating on blood clots Dr. Prutsok  called the CHOC ER and immediately sent us over to prepare Ryder for emergecy surgery.  Thankfully the CHOC ER was directly across the street from Dr. Prutsok's office so within minutes we were rushed to the OR pre-op to prepare Ryder for surgery. The exact place we had been just over 1 week ago.

Because Ryder's mouth continued to bleed, Dr. Prutsok needed to find the source of the bleeding and cauterize it to avoid blood clots which he could aspirate on. To add to all if this, my husband had spent not even 24 hours on the east coast (on a business trip) before I called him, balling my eyes out, updating him on Ryder's situation. He lands tonight at 10:30pm.

Thankfully, Ryder's emergency surgery was a success and they were able to locate and cauterize the source of the bleeding without Ryder losing a significant amount of blood. We think Ryder must have been checking out his new palate, with his tongue, and irritated things just enough to start a mess of bleeding. Although there's nothing we can really do to avoid this, we hope and pray that his mouth continues to heal without any more "exploring" from Ryder. We ask for prayers to be said over our superhero Ryder. We pray for a quick recovery (once again) and we pray that God continues to comfort him as his testimony, our testimony, continues to be written.
