We received the most perfect Christmas gift today and it was directly from the birthday boy Himself as He knew we could use some encouragement today. This morning was our 20 week, detailed ultrasound. Baby Joy is perfectly healthy! No signs or markers that were of concern. Every millimeter of her body is measuring as it should. They inspected every bone, artery, muscle and organ and tears of joy filled our eyes as the doctor said "she's perfect!" It almost feels too easy. Is that weird? This was the exact same ultrasound we had with Ryder where his bilateral cleft lip/palate was identified, some concerns arose and our journey really started. All of our babies, in our eyes, are absolute perfection regardless of any medical terms/labels that were put on them.
Kinda looked like baby Joy was chatting it up on a cell phone with her mouth open and right hand near her ear.
