Eva Joy Stocking

We often refer to you as baby December but in my heart you're Eva Joy Stocking. Many probably think it's crazy to name a baby at only 8 weeks pregnant but I don't care. Baby Joy was named the second I saw the word "pregnant" on the morning of Septmber 7, 2014.  Eva Joy - your name is so precious and sweet! Happy birthday baby girl! Although you would have probably already been born prior to the 23rd, today was your due date (according to ultrasounds). So today we continue to celebrate your life! 

I was convinced you were a girl, even though we never got the opportunity to confirm my mommy intuition. After we heard your beating heart I named you out of faith. Eva means "life" and your beating heart proved that there was indeed life inside my womb. Your middle name was chosen because I was "considering it all joy" as the verse repeated in my head over and over throughout your precious weeks of life. I have your name written numerous times in my Bible. It's written next to every verse that mentions the word joy! 

Because you returned to heaven after only 8 weeks, a lot of people may disregard your life or even argue that you weren't "really a baby" but your name speaks truth of you are.  You are "life" filled with "joy" and today we celebrate you on earth as you walk with Jesus in Heaven. We love you Eva Joy Stocking and can't wait to hold you again!
